This session will introduce teachers and school leaders to using book clubs during reading instruction. Book clubs facilitate social emotional learning through the use of the Seven Strengths of Super Readers: belonging, curiosity, friendship, kindness, confidence, courage, and hope. These strengths are outlined in the book Every Child A Super Reader by Pam Allyn and Ernest Morrell.
